So many people come to stay in the Algarve, rarely venture further than the swimming pool terraces and the local beach, yet just a few metres further on the real Algarve can been found.

Chameleons used to be very common but sadly they are now not seen so often. They are there but you need keen eyes. The best time to find them is in October when they are often found on sandy banks digging their hibernation holes.
